BOYS HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM

Our High School Boys Program provides the complete club experience – veteran staff, professional communication, family-oriented culture – and supplements each of those elements with bonus training programs and a rigorous tournament schedule. Through their training, our athletes master the skills needed to compete for the highest level of success.

Along the way we cover core skills training, dedicated positional work, team scenario drills, film review, strength and conditioning, mental-wellness programming, team-building, local events and power leagues, and national qualifier events.

At MOD we believe in developing complete athletes that are just as prepared to launch into adolescence and adult life as they are their next match! Feel free to explore the rest of our pages to learn more about our offerings, or contact our Boys High School Director, Louis Richard – louis@modvolleyball.com if you have any questions.

BOYS ELITE DETAILS

Our Elite Program features the highest level of training available, competing in local, regional, and national tournaments.  Athletes in our National Program are dedicated to the sport of volleyball and have a variety of goals including mastering their skills, making their school team, playing college volleyball, and competing for the highest level of success.

  • Season Length: September – February, IHSA Season Break from mid-February – May, then resume in early June through AAU Nationals.
    • There is NO tryout for the Summer Season if you are invited to join the ELITE program. We anticipate and plan for all Elite athletes to return and compete with MOD after the IHSA season.

  • Practice Days: 2-3 practices per week consisting of two main weekday sessions, weekend positional training, and dedicated hi-performance sessions.

  • Practice Length: Elite practices are typically 2 hours of training + 1 hour of hi-performance per week (film review, positional work and/or strength/conditioning).

  • Practice Projections: In 2025-26, our Elite teams train Mon/Weds from 8-10pm. Additionally, teams will practice 1x per weekend leading up to tournament competition as well as on off-weekends from tourney play.

  • Season Breaks: Our season breaks take place during these general times of year:
    • Thanksgiving Break: 11/24 – 11/30
    • Winter Break: 2 weeks around Christmas and New Years
    • IHSA Break: February (after President’s Day tournament) – May

  • Tournaments:
    • Approximately 20-24 competition dates throughout the season (local and travel).
    • Local events are classified as any tournament our teams are able to commute to by car within <2 hours, so while in some cases your event may be out of state know that it can STILL be considered “local” (e.g. Milwaukee, Rockford, NW Indiana, etc.). All travel events will include a dedicated MOD hotel block along with additional instructions and logistics per location. Some common destinations from past seasons include St. Louis, Indianapolis, Louisville, Anaheim, & Orlando.

  • Price: We pride ourselves on being a top-of-the-line experience for our athletes and families. Our season dues cover all costs associated with our scheduled training, tournament registration, coach compensation, and admin operations – the only additional fees that families are required to pay are 1.) our Uniform Package (typically $350-450 annually) and 2.) personal travel and lodging during competition weekends out of the area.
    • 15-18U Elite Membership Dues: $4,500

  • Financial Aid: To learn more about potential financial aid opportunities please email anthony@modvolleyball.com.

TEAM CALENDARS

We have housed our season calendars within the PlayerFirst Club app, which you can access at any time via the same guardian and athlete profiles used during your registration. You can click here in order to download the app, and note that there is a helpful FAQ section available to assist with any troubleshooting needs. We recommend that each family takes 5-10 minutes this week to become familiar with the PF app and our calendar interface.

Our season calendars will serve as your primary resource for tracking all club obligations, and will be dynamically updated with any potential adjustments or cancellations throughout the season. Know that if any such adjustments occur, MOD will always contact the affected families via email in addition to updating our calendar!
